수준평가 참여업체의 경영성과에 관한 연구
연구는 2010년부터 2014년까지 중소기업청과 소상공인시장진흥공단에서 수행하는 수준평가 지원 사업에 참여한 프랜차이즈업체들의 경영성과를 성장성, 수익성, 안정성으로 구분하고 지원 이전에 비해 지원 이후 성과를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 각 성과지표별 조사항목으로 성장성은 매출액, 총 점포수, 가 맹점당 평균 매출액, 가맹본부 임직원수, 수익성은 영업이익, 당기 순이익, 투자수익률(ROI), 1인당 순이 익, 안정성은 가맹점 유지율, 가맹점 계약해지율을 선정하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 첫째, 성장성은 지원 이전 15.1%에서 지원 후 8.2%로 증가율이 다소 낮아진 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가맹점 계약 해지율과 가맹점 유지율을 분석에 활용한 안정성 측면에서는 지원 이전 –22.8%에서 지원 이후 –33.2%로 안정성 은 낮아진 것으로 파악되었다. 한편, 수익성은 지원 이전 35.5%에서 지원 이후 71.3%로 증가된 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 정부의 프랜차이즈 지원사업의 일환으로 지난 2010년부터 본격적으로 시행된 수 준평가 사업에 참여한 업체들의 경영성과가 주로 수익성 측면에서 호전된 결과를 나타낸 반면 안정성 측 면에서는 개선이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

A Study on Performance of Franchise Firms after Participating Evaluation Scheme
This study analysed the business performance of franchise firms after participating franchise evaluation. The analysis of business performance is divided into three different indices including growth, profitability and stability from 2010 to 2014. The growth rate is determined by sales volume, number of outlets, average sales of outlet and number of employees. The profitability rate is composed of operating profit, net profit, return on investment and profit per capita. The stability rate is measured by retaining rate of franchisees and franchisee contract termination rate. The analysis results show that the growth rate has slightly declined from 15.1% to 8.2%. Also the stability rate has rapidly declined from –22.8% to –33.2%. On the other hand, the profitability rate has improved from 35.5% to 71.3%. The overall business performance of franchise firms participated evaluation scheme has improved in profitability whereas the stability rate has rapidly declined. The analysis results implied that the stability such as retaining rate of franchisees needs to be improved.
